Our journey to 30

Our journey began in London on the 10 December 1993. The first ICAP Charity Day raised £288,195 for two charities. An amazing result for the first event and an emphatic proof of concept.

Since the first event, ICAP Charity Day has raised more than £155 million, which has been distributed via more than 2,800 donations to more than 1,700 charities in 25 countries, making a positive difference to millions of people right around the world.

In just six years, we expanded successfully from our London HQ to include our Ney York and Tokyo offices. Not only did the scope of the event increase, but so did the amount that we raised. Total raised in 1999? An incredible £2.2 million globally.

Continuing to build momentum, the 10th ICAP Charity Day saw us pass the £13 million raised mark. £13,508,000 to be precise. That equates to £56,283 raised every hour of Charity Day in the first ten years.

ICAP Charity Day has grown to be a global movement. Today it spans 25 offices, across every time zone. The day starts in New Zealand and ends in New York, and over 24 hours and everywhere in between, we have but one aim: to raise as much money as possible.

2012, and in the year that the Olympics came to London, ICAP capped off a decade of accelerating the growth of Charity Day by breaking the £100m raised to date mark. Oh, and our run rate had increased to £211,642 raised every hour...

Over the years, ICAP Charity Day has earned it's iconic event status thanks to the many magic moments it has created. From the fancy dress to the famous faces, to the funds raised, no one does Charity Day like ICAP. Thank you all - past and present - for making it so.

Clients are the lifeblood of our business. No surprise then that clients are also front and centre when it comes to ICAP Charity Day! By choosing to do business with ICAP on Charity Day, our fantastic clients have helped millions globally. To you all, a heartfelt thanks.

While most of the support is provided to focusses on helping people, we have made donations to 41 charities focused on environmental protection. These include the African Conservation Trust, Flora International, and the Louisville Zoo Foundation.
